Laura Menassa
Laura Menassa is a photographer born in Paris, France. She graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Tours. Photography is a medium through which she explores questions of identity, self-image, and territory.
Coming from a mixed heritage of Italian and Lebanese descent, and growing up in Paris, Menassa attaches great importance to the identity and individuality inherent to the human body. Through her work she tackles notions of the unconscious, intimacy, time, and body image. Her self-portraits allow her to unravel internal and inherent human elements.
Menassa has exhibited her photographs in Millepiani, Rome, Italy (2021), Chartres (2017), Les Recombinants, Marseille, France (2017), Arles (2017).
Her works have been featured in Nakid Magazine, F-Stop Magazine.
