Luana Bassil is a Lebanese filmmaker and photographer born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. She spent her childhood discovering filmmakers, and developed her taste in movies at a young age. Throughout her youth, she could be found taking analogue photos of her entourage. Currently, Bassil is pursuing her studies in videography and is based in Brussels, Belgium.
Her body of work is a testament to her passion for capturing the human body in all of its forms. Through this documentation, she breaks free from societal boundaries and taboos.
Bassil has worked with Lebanese designers Lara Khoury and Alexandra Hakim. She has showcased her work in several art galleries around Beirut.
