Tarek Haddad
Tarek Haddad is a Lebanese photographer born in Beirut (1991). He holds a B.A. in photography from Notre Dame University-Louaize and is currently residing in Arles where he is completing his masters at L’École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie. His approach to photography finds its grounds in the balance between complementary opposites; the pragmatic and the poetic, the structured and the intuitive, the logical and the emotional.
Tarek had his first solo exhibition in 2017 at Galerie Janine Rubeiz and took part in the ADPP programme. He then took part in an art residency followed by his second solo exhibition in Switzerland in 2019 through the Sustainable Mountain Art Residency (SMArt Porgramme). He’s been part of many local group exhibitions at Beirut Art Fair (2016), Galerie Janine Rubeiz (2017), CUB Gallery (2018, 2019), Galerie Tanit (2021), as well as World Nature Forum (2020) and Ernen during the Musikdorf Festival (2020 and 2021) in Switzerland and Fabrique POLA in Bordeaux (2021).
